    Battery discharge test function

    MEL8500 series can use constant current mode for battery discharge testing. After entering the battery discharge test mode, the termination conditions of the test mode can be set by itself, including discharge time, shutdown voltage value and shutdown capacity value. After the test starts, when any of the above three conditions is met, the discharge will stop and the electronic load will automatically switch to OFF state. During the test, the voltage, time and discharge capacity of the battery can be observed.

    Automatic test function

    The MEL8500 series has an automatic test editing mode that can save up to 10 sets of test files. The user can edit the required steps by himself, and can call and test at any time. At the same time, the keys can be completely locked to prevent accidental touching of the keyboard from affecting the normal test of the user and making the test operation easier.

    OCP test function

    MEL8500 series has over-current protection (OCP) test function. In OCP test mode, when the input voltage reaches Von value, the current starts to work with a delay of a period of time, and increases by step value at regular intervals. At the same time, it detects and judges whether the input voltage of electronic load is higher than OCP voltage value according to OCP voltage value. If it is higher, it will run down and continue to increase with delay according to cut-off current value, until the operation to cut off the current. After judging by the OCP voltage value, it is judged whether the current is within the range according to the set overcurrent range value.

    OPP test function

    MEL8500 series has over power protection (OPP) test function. In OPP test mode, when the input voltage reaches Von value, the power starts to work after a period of delay, and increases by step value at regular intervals. At the same time, it is detected and judged whether the load input voltage is higher than OPP voltage value according to OPP voltage value. If it is higher, it will run down and continue to increase according to the cut-off power value, until running to the cut-off power value. After judging by the OPP voltage value, it is judged whether the power is within the range according to the set over-power range value.

    Remote measurement function

    The dynamic test operation can switch the electronic load between two setting parameters according to the setting rules. This function is used to test the dynamic characteristics of the power supply.

    Continuous mode
    In continuous mode, the user enters the set A,B values. After the dynamic test is turned on, the load current will continuously switch between the value and the B value.

    Pulse mode
    In the pulse mode, after the dynamic test is started, the load will switch from the value to the B value every time it receives a trigger signal, and switch back to the value after maintaining the pulse width time set by B.

    Flip mode
    In the trigger mode, after the dynamic test is turned on, the load will switch between the value and the B value every time it receives a trigger signal.

    Sequential Operation Mode (LIST)

    In LIST mode, the user can define the number of steps, single step time and set value, slope. This mode can accurately complete complex arbitrary current change mode at high speed, and this change mode can be synchronized with internal or external signals to complete the tight test of multi-level with load, which can greatly save costs for customers. The parameters in the sequence operation include the name of the set of input sequence files, the number of input steps (up to 2-84 steps), the single step time (0.00005s ~ 3600s), and the set value and slope of each single step. When the operation mode of the load is sequential operation, upon receiving a trigger signal, the load will start sequential operation until the sequential operation is completed or a trigger signal is received again.
